The Confirmation program is a two year learning opportunity for youth who are in the 6th through 8th grade age group. The program is based on Luther’s Small Catechism and is focused on the fundamentals of Christianity.  This study prepares students to explore their spiritual beliefs with the culmination of the two years resulting in a public confession and re-affirmation of their baptism.  First year students attend Confirmation Camp at Lutheridge in Ardin, North Carolina at the end of their first year of study. This camp is held at the end of the school year and is a great opportunity for students to meet and exchange ideology with youth in their own age group. Second year students are assigned an adult mentor from the congregation who meets with them on a regular schedule to further explore their spirituality and to serve as a role model of Christian action.  The Confirmation program is developed and guided by the Pastor with support from other adult members of the congregation.

Bible studies are offered throughout the year.  Please contact the church office for a current schedule.

Several times a year, Pastor Damos offers an Inquirer’s Class for those interested in joining the church, or just wanting a refresher in Lutheranism.  Call the church office for more information ((865) 483-3787).
