The Baptismal Ministry supports parents of babies with materials to enhance the introduction of their little ones to the family of God. It provides materials for use from birth to age 3 when children can start participating in Sunday School and VBS.
Bible Study for Kids
Bible study for kids is woven into Sunday School, youth groups, and confirmation classes.
Boy Scout Troop 224 was organized by and has been sponsored by Grace since April 29, 1952. It has been a very active group with an emphasis on high adventure trips. It has consistently provided service to Grace, including its annual assistance at the Pet Fest and Blessing and in collecting food from the community for our Food Pantry. It meets on Monday evenings.
Confirmation is a two-year program of biblical, historical, and doctrinal teaching that undergirds the Christian faith and its Lutheran expression. The program includes study, worship, fellowship, and service activities and weekends of Confirmation camp at Lutheridge. Those in the 7th grade or above who are willing to commit to the program are welcome to begin instruction. Please let Pastor Larry know if your child will participate as a confirmand.
Early Communion Class
Children in 5th grade, in consultation with parents and Pastor regarding readiness, may be given instruction during Lent and take their first Communion on Maundy Thursday.
Sunday School for children and youth (ages 3 through high school) is held Sundays at 10:30 AM.
Vacation Bible School
Grace is joining with First Presbyterian and First Christian to present “Camp Discovery: Discover His Plan, Discover His Purpose.” This is a 2-day camp from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on June 22 and 23, for preschool children ages 3-5 and kindergarten through 5th grade. Parents can drop off children as early as 8:00 a.m. and pick up by 4:00 p.m. to accommodate work schedules. Adult volunteers are needed! Registration forms are available at the back entryway and Narthex. Completed forms are due by June 4 to the church office or Donna Gurecki. If you have questions, please see Donna Gurecki.
The youth of Grace enjoy many activities together. Recent events include a reverse progressive dinner, purchasing gifts for the Angel Tree, helping with the Christmas and Easter holiday baskets, and the Conference 6 Youth Gathering. Seeds of Grace Youth (grades 7-12) meet regularly during the school year.
